Chicago-Arlington Heights Snowfall: New Snowfall 0.5 Inch, Snow Cover 4.0 Inches

4:01 PM Sunday . A total of 0.5 inch of snow fell in Arlington Heights from about 6:30 a.m. until about 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 22, 2013. The snow was wet and good packing snow. Snow cover is 4.0 inches -- down from 7.0 inches after significant melting with rain on Saturday, and above-freezing daily highs from Tuesday, December 17, 2013 through Saturday, December 21, 2013.

The previous significant snowfall of 0.5 inch was on Monday, December 16, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
